Your Focus

We are celebrating today because focus was not broken. In other words, we are here because Jesus kept His eyes on His goal. He kept His purpose in the forefront of His mind. Even as a young child, Jesus knew who He was and what He was all about. Luke 2:49, “ ‘Why were you searching for me?’ He asked. ‘Didn’t you know I had to be in My Father’s house?’ ” His God-given purpose was what He was born for, lived for and died for. That is why Jesus was able to say as He hung on the Cross, ‘It is finished’. Are you focusing on your goal? If you decide on your direction, God will give you the energy for the distance but you have to be focused on your goal. Your focus is your personal decision. Why do many people start off so well but soon derail? Broken focus is the main reason men fail. Make sure to include God in decision making if you don’t want to end up in failure by following the instruction given to Joshua, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8)
