The Bible says there are only three things on this earth that will last – faith, hope and love. The greatest is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). 1 John 4:16 says that Jesus is love. He who abides in love abides in God and God in Him. When you abide in love, you will not listen to the cry of others but you will listen for their cry because love looks around to see who is in need. That is why we will begin to succeed with our lives when the hurt and problems of others matter to us. I mean, we must begin to live a life of investment and not expenditure because the best investment is help. So, when you give, you are planting seeds that will be multiplied back to you. When the pain of others becomes your pain, you will begin to succeed with your life. Love never gives up. It puts up with everything. Love cares more for others than for self. Love is not always ‘me first’. Love does not strut. Love does not want what it does not have. Love is positive – it does not want anything negative. Love is good. That is why love is the greatest.
