Respond To God

Hebrews 3:14-15, “For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.’ ” Does your life seem quiet? God is still saying something. Does your life seem noisy? God is still saying something. In the midst of what you are going through, God has something to say. Even when He seems to be silent, He is still saying something. Are you listening? God speaks to us through His Word by His Spirit. Our heart is the communication point for God as well as the devil and thus, our heart is never free. You are always thinking thoughts of faith or thoughts of doubt. In the mind of God, there is nothing like failure, suffering or corruption. Many begin to live like common men when they confess their failure, defeat and problems, instead of God and His sufficiency. The devil wants you to think like him and speak his language to overthrow your position before God and stop you from praying. When you pray, you talk to God and when you read God’s Word with devotion, you hear God talk. God gave us the Word of God simply to make us feel at home in the world of God and get familiar with the way He speaks to us and the way in which we answer Him with our lives. It is only by love that we can respond to God and others in the present. Speak your Father’s language; use the Word of God to answer someone, talk Scripture in every situation and you are getting to the place where God can really use you.
