Move Towards God

Hebrews 11:6: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” The Bible says that Christianity is a journey. To receive healing, deliverance or blessing is not an end in itself but a means to an end, which is a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Christianity is all about relationship. The main thing about Christianity is not the work we do but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. In Hebrews 11:6, we are encouraged as Christians to diligently seek the face of God in faith, believing that those who seek God shall find Him. Remember that life is a learning experience and as long as we live, we must continue to learn. Faith means our movement towards God. As Christians, mountain climbing is a picture of the life of faith. Throughout our lives, we are to continue moving upward. Faith grows stronger as we climb higher; learning more about God, growing in our relationship with God, becoming stronger in our battle with temptation, pushing ahead in telling the lost about Jesus Christ. Our faith keeps growing as we keep hearing and obeying—hearing and obeying what God Almighty puts in our hearts today. God speaks to us through His Word, by His Spirit. Meditation in the Word of God is a visit with Him. If you want to move closer to God, make sure you spend your time with the right Source. Spend your time with Jesus Christ. Nothing will keep us on course like a deep love for the Lord. Nothing will carry us through the hardship like a sincere devotion to Christ. Proverbs 8:17: “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me.”
