Make It Extraordinary

1 Corinthians 3:9-13, “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.” The foundation Jesus laid was a unique and advanced form of love, wisdom and faith. It was Jesus’ great design to engage all His followers to love one another. Thousands sat for days as Jesus taught them the law of God and how to have an extraordinary relationship with others. An extraordinary relationship transcends political, business and ethnic affiliations. Christ’s standard of love and relationship is advanced because it sees beyond hatred. We are to build upon that foundation. Until we begin to accept the differences in our personalities, we cannot move forward in Christ’s standard of relationship. Relationship is all about beneficial co-operation but a relationship does not involve two perfect people. That is why in an extraordinary relationship, there is room for forgiveness, generally on a daily basis. Forgiveness paves the way for a harmonious relationship even with our enemies. The fact that we disagree on a certain issue should not break our friendship because in Christ Jesus, we are one another’s strength. Don’t allow confrontation or sin to pull your relationship down or tear it apart. Turn your scars into stars. An extraordinary relationship does not just happen; it is built - build yours upon the foundation of Christ by adding faith, hope, love and all the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
