Hebrews 13:5, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you’.” Are you rich? Are you poor? Are you content? The world believes that no matter how many or how much you have, it is never enough. That is why people always want more and more. If silver and gold were to determine the success of a man, the armed robber and the like would be content with their plunder and loot. Now, it is clear that the cause of stealing, killing and destruction today is the urge to store up treasures here on earth. In other words, you may be rich but not content. That is why it is hard to give out. You are blessed to bless others, knowing that it is more blessed to be in the giving hand than to be in the receiving hand. That is the secret of blessing. That is why those who are to receive must first learn how to give. It makes you more like unto God who gives to all and receives from none. Good men do not only desire to be comfortable but to have those around them equally comfortable. Remember, as a Christian, you are known by your love and there is no love that does not express itself in giving. There is nothing too big to give and there is nothing too small to share. Do you have much? Do you have enough? I am content. Love and be loved. Give and be given. Bless and be blessed, in Jesus’ name. Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, give me love enough until it overflows to others.
