If Joseph had given up in the dry pit, he would never have become the Prime Minister of Egypt. If David had given up in the face of discouragement from men, he would not have been used mightily by God to defend his people. When faced with challenges, temptation or worse still your own awful sin, are you tempted to give up? Instead of allowing their tests to turn into promotion, many quit on life, many give up and divorce, many forget their dream. If God Almighty had given up on you when you ignored Him, when you rejected Him, when you disobeyed His commands, you would not be here today. Jesus never gives up on those who have made mistakes with their lives. And from Him, one day at a time, one hour at a time, we receive the courage, strength and conviction to stand our ground (1 Corinthians 10:13). Ask God for the courage to hope and not give up in Jesus’ name.
