Do What The Best Do

Do you do what many do or what the best do? Proverbs 4:20-21, “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart”. Many store the Bible on their shelves; the best store it in their hearts. They cultivate the habit of receiving God’s Word in the midst of their hearts daily. Many commit the Word of God to memory but the best let it become an integral part of their being. Many approach the Bible casually; the best approach God’s Word as if their life depends on it. They have a thirst and hunger for God’s Word in their hearts. They read it with dedication, with devotion, with love, with affection, with genuine interest, with commitment and faithfulness. The best keep the Word of God in their mouth, meditate on it day and night and do what the Word says. They keep it in their mind, mouth and every conversation. They see their daily conversation as the great confession; everywhere they go you see them talking about Jesus because He is the Owner of their souls. The question is, are you doing what many are doing or doing what the best do? The Bible says that by doing what the best do, you will be prosperous and successful and make a difference in your world. So, give your attention to God’s Word today. Rededicate your heart to God’s Word and discover yourself in Christ Jesus. Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to do what the best do, the grace to approach your Word as if my life depends on it, the grace to give my attention to it daily, the grace to observe it with my eyes and keep it in the midst of my heart, in Jesus Christ’ name.
