Psalm 103:2
Many of us give God the leftovers of our time. The tired hours. The distracted prayers. The rushed mornings. We offer everything else our best and leave Him what remains. Have you noticed this pattern in your life? Do you feel your soul drifting from the intimacy it once knew? That feeling is often the result of poor stewardship of time. Intimacy with God does not grow through convenience. It grows through time that costs. Time that breaks routine. Time that carries intention. We become what we give our time to. If God never receives your best, how can you expect His? I was privileged to witness how this truth shaped Prophet TB Joshua’s earthly walk, and it stirred me deeply. Perhaps the words that follow are what your soul has longed to hear.
Create Time For God
“Psalm 103:2, 17-18, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.”
When you are caught up in the whirl of everyday activities, it is difficult to make a good decision. In the same way, you cannot think well while on the run.
In the hectic, busy rush of daily life, don’t allow your life to get so full that there is no room for God. We must find room in our hearts to bless the Lord always.
You will never find a convenient time to develop your relationship with God, you must create it. God is most honoured in our sacrificial offerings but dishonoured in our offerings of convenience. All offerings of inconvenience are sacrificial.
While making time to read the Word of God and talk to Him, do not forget that to dialogue with Him, you also need to make time to sit back in faith and listen to what God has to say. Even when He seems to be silent, God is still saying something.”
