Romans 6:3-5, “Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.” Jesus Christ was raised from death that we may receive a new life. By His love, we love. Through His love, we are new. In His love, we have newness of life. Have you received a new life? You must cast aside your old self, sinful nature and self righteousness before you can embrace Christ’s superior order. In Christ’s superior order, there is peace, not as the world gives, joy not as the world gives and comfort not as the world gives. If you are still restless and uneasy, fearful of this or that, feeling lost, struggling with all your effort, you have not received a new life. When we genuinely believe Jesus Christ, our hearts would be at rest. When we presume upon our own ability and power, tempting the devil to tempt us, we dare the fire of Christ’s holiness and the light of His purity, thereby provoking God to withdraw His grace and support and leave us to our strength. If God should remove His grace, we would fall and our enemies would laugh at us but when God gives you His strength, at the same time, He removes every obstacle.
