Lead Me To The Rock

Psalm 61:2

When life’s burdens press down and the noise of the world threatens to drown us, the psalmist’s plea—“Lead me to the rock that is higher than I”—becomes our own. In moments of deepest vulnerability, God’s strength shines brightest. My reflection reveals how Jesus, the unshakable Rock, holds firm when all else falters. It is in our weakness that His power is made perfect. This truth resonates deeply with the words of Prophet TB Joshua, who reminds us that God seeks not the strong, but the frail to display His might. As you read on, let his message lead you to that solid refuge where peace and security abide, and your spirit finds unwavering rest in the solid Rock.

Lead Me To the Rock

💡
The psalmist said, “When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (Psalm 61:2).At times, we feel overwhelmed by the situation we are in. We feel too small and too fragile in this wicked and contradictory world. We look at the stars in the sky, the mighty mountains, and wonder how we—as frail as we are—can play a part in God’s master plan for His creation.
As children of God, it is when we find ourselves in such vulnerable circumstances that we can truly discover who we are in Christ. He is not looking for the strong or mighty—He is looking for the weak and frail so that His mighty power can be manifested.
When we have exhausted our mental and emotional resources, we can no longer rely on ourselves. We simply have to trust in something, Someone stronger, wiser, and smarter than ourselves. That Someone is Jesus Christ. He is the Rock, our everlasting Refuge.
If we tremble on the Rock of ages, the Rock of ages will not tremble under us.
